I wanted to do this with the 3M clear film so went to my local Graphics Wrap shop and they say its pretty much just a sticker and wont last long ( for sill guard ) . I think it will work great for fenders though !!

They can't do any of the black plastic due to the gasses it gives off on hot days and will make it bubble
