Ah...I've never leased a vehicle. I think the projected value of the vehicle at the end of the lease determines the payment and residual amount...you're actually paying for the depreciation during the lease...which on a WRANGLER should be low, but the residual to buy the vehicle at the end of the lease will be higher.

My plan is to use the lease for two things:

1) This is my first Wrangler. I want to see if I like it as much as I hope I will (Gasp! Blasphemy, I know, but I'm cautious when it comes to these things). It's also the first stick shift vehicle I've owned...and, as you all know, I'm not exactly in a stick shift friendly town. Finally, I might be in a position at lease end to not need a vehicle at all (who knows?!)...

2) The lease will help take the initial bite out of the depreciation/monthly payments. ~$330/mo is much more tolerable than $450/mo. Afterwards, the buyout will hopefully get me something in the same neighborhood of payments.

Without divulging all of my financial situation, there's currently a lot of moving parts; I'd like the flexibility.

In the short term, I need a newer vehicle to drive around. Might as well make it fun.

Making my Jeep my own and it’s still slowly sinking in that he’s mine. That Alpine system is insane, it’s SO good! I may be a little biased but I think my T-Rex chasing the Willy’s sticker is the best
Also I took it to my Grandparents house and drove them around. It has their seal of approval They were impressed by all the gadgets.

**Oh and a little fun fact is that my family is a Ford family, my uncle’s a Chevy family, and my Aunt’s and Grandparents are GMC family. Well I’m going off the paved roads and becoming the first one of my entire extended family to get a Jeep/FCA vehicle!

You can get it in glossy or matte. I did glossy. It’s like a decal stuck to a square plastic piece. So you apply the square to the windshield, make sure it seals to the glass, then pull off the square and the T-Rex should stay.

i commend you for being so open minded. I always buy a vehicle thinking I will keep it forever, but sometimes it doesn’t work out that way

Im still on the fence with the lease/purchase . I mean If I'm in the market to buy something brand new then chances are I'm not gonna foresee holding on to it for less than a year . And after one year the residuals start to take effect so If I did have to let it go I can get what I owe on it " providing I take care of it " ...I may even make a few bucks on it providing its a Jeep .

IDK I might be wrong here ,,,there's a lot to consider - credit score - down payment - monthly income to payment amount

I chose to buy just because its a Jeep and hold there value for many years

Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of my control, we will no longer be able to track orders as of today. Believe me, no one is more disappointed about this than me and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Our goal when we first started this service was to help as many of our users as possible so we kept it free for as long as possible. As word spread, we had to enlist help to keep up with the growing demand. Suffice it to say, it got some unwanted attention, which led to tracking becoming unavailable. I also was not able to be personally involved (as I would have liked) to possibly prevent these issues.

We are going to give a FULL REFUND for anyone that has made payment to JLWF Dealer Guy. The only two requirements:

1. Your Jeep has not yet been delivered (meaning you are still on the last spreadsheet which I have a copy of).
2. Send a copy of the PayPal receipt/payment confirmation to [email protected].

• When you forward the receipt please INCLUDE YOUR JLWF USERNAME and VON (if it is not already on the receipt) so we can match it up. WITHOUT THIS INFO WE CANNOT ISSUE A REFUND.

We hope to one day be able to bring back tracking in the future, but until then, as this thread has been an invaluable resource for many so we’re going to keep it open for users to continue discussing their orders, production statuses (from the JL hotline, Jeep chat, their own dealerships) etc.
