The last two things I’m thinking about tonight...
1) do I plan ahead & set extra money aside for the Kia lease end shenanigans or do I go for the 5 figure down payment on Vida? I think it’s gotta be the latter.
2) most people with a brand new vehicle purchase & pick up would want to get right to the open roads ASAP....buuuuut I can’t get it out of my head that I want to stop at Wegmans & get english muffins for breakfast on Friday. :cwl:

Dorky accountant says: save a bit above what you think it will be to pay off the lease. As long as vidas loan doesn’t have any prepayment penalties, you can apply any excess to her loan after you finalize the details. Then you still get the safety net, but can apply it where you want/need after the fact.

Edit: and save a bit for your breakfast!

1) if you decide not to put down a large down payment initially, you can add principal to the payments later to make up for it. This way you don't short yourself for cash you may need now.
2) a girl's gotta eat!
