As Jeep owners we tend to think BIG when it comes to upsizing tires – for both looks and utility. But, is there a point at which the downsides of larger tires outweigh the benefits?
JLWF member JLTuriTron’s recent downsizing from his 40″ tires provides such an example. As he explains, his JL looked amazing on 40s and they helped deal with huge obstacles off-road. Despite this, there were enough drawbacks to motivate the downsizing of his tires. He’s now on 38″ tires which have improved many facets of his JL.
