Toledo Off-Road Course Completed In Anticipation of Next-Gen Wrangler

The 2018 JL Wrangler is not going into production for another few months, with vehicles due in dealerships early next year but FCA is already galvanizing its workforce by planning fun ways to educate and excite workers in anticipation of the next-generation Jeep Wrangler.

As we reported earlier this month, FCA has been seen building an off-road course just outside of its Toledo North Assembly Plant (TNAP).

We’ve learned that the course is part of FCA’s team-building efforts to provide immersion into what the company calls “the Toledo Way” with the goal of giving some of its 3,500 Toledo Assembly Complex employees the opportunity to experience first-hand the fruits of their labor.

After three-weeks of construction the course comprised of 3,500 tons of dirt, rock and ground asphalt is ready for FCA employees (and some members of the media) to test out the off-road capabilities of the Jeep Wrangler under the guidance of a professional driver.

While the employees will be testing the current generation JK Wrangler, combined with the crash course in Jeep history, classroom training and community service the program is meant to foster a deeper appreciation and excitement about the vehicles the Toledo employees help build. The morale-boosting and employee appreciation efforts come as the company readies production of the next-gen 2018 JL Wrangler, and as a result into the Jeep culture and lifestyle we all love.
