Spotted 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara JLU Shows MSRP Pricing on Window Sticker

A JLWF member has discovered a 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited parked in a lot at FCA headquarters showing a window sticker which lists MSRP pricing.

Now, let’s preface this by saying that the window sticker is real — in fact, we see it on Chrysler’s own window sticker generator website (using this Wrangler’s VIN). However, the story behind this Wrangler and the rather eye-opening listed base vehicle price of $45,000 on it (compare to the $34,245 MSRP of the 2018 JKU Sahara) has not been authenticated or verified by FCA.

Of note, the window sticker does not list pricing for this JLU Sahara’s optional equipment which would be expected from a finalized production-window sticker. It also does not add the cost of the options since the total vehicle price of $46,095 appears to only account for the $995 destination charge. Given the escalated “base price” and the optional equipment on this Sahara, it is possible the MSRP listed is with all of the listed options.

When we ran this Wrangler’s VIN through our tracking system, and the resulting tracking report showed that this is a company car and hot coded.  It shipped to vehicle control services so it’s a production vehicle that Jeep sent through for quality control. It’s definitely possible that the listed MSRP includes all the options listed even though they aren’t broken down.  The pricing would be spot on with everything all-in.

We’ve previously reported that our sources have told us to expect an approximately $2500 increase in the base vehicle price of the JL. What has not been clear is whether that is for the base Sport only, and if so how much of an increase we will see for the JL/JLU Sahara and Rubicon models.

We’ll reserve judgment until we get the official pricing announcement from Jeep, which we’ve been told will be by the end of the year.

Until then, take a look at the 2018 JLU Sahara window sticker with pricing posted on our forums.
