The #JeepWrangler4xe is the first of many future electrified #Jeep models to come. The 2022 #Wrangler4xe combines a 2.0L turbo gas 4-cylinder with a powerful electric motor and a 17.1 kWh battery pack. With the larger battery, Jeep says the #4xe will travel about 21 miles on a full charge with an additional 375 miles of range when the gas engine kicks in. Pricing for the electrified #JeepWrangler will start at just over $51,000 before the $7,500 federal tax credit.

I have seen the TFL video where they drag race a 4Xe against the big engine in the new Bronco with the 2.7L twin turbo.

Was not even a race. The Bronco got smoked! Performed more like a donkey instead of Bronco.

three 0 to 60 runs in the video. 5.2 then 5.06 then 5.31. Pretty quick, my sahara definately feels faster than 6 seconds.

I wish they had a performance mode where all that electric power could be used to match the 392 acceleration if you don't care about the electric range / gas mileage. Basically, I'd like to be able to make my less than 2 mile daily commute or putt around my town on the batteries, but when I want to embarrass someone at a stop light, I can do so as well...

I have a 392 on order, but not looking forward to the gas mileage.

I believe that under full acceleration, all the electric assist that is possible is in fact utilized.
No need for a 'performance mode'...

The point was to improve acceleration even further to match that of the 392 Rubicon which is quite a bit faster (not that the 4XE is a slouch though).

4XE can hang with a 392 Charger.

This is not a 2022 model. This is a 2021, the 2022 Sahara has blue tow hooks and blue jeeps on the wheels.

You're saying you wish it had a higher hp/tq electric motor basically

Yup. I like the idea of the 4xE, I just don't want to give up the performance of the 392. So if I could get a 4xE that was as fast acceleration wise as a 392, but allowed me to just putt around on electric or hybrid for longer ranges when I wanted it would meet all my needs. Sound of a V8 not withstanding...

Yes, although our late October-built came with the blue hooks.

Yeah like what other people are saying. I don't think this is a 2022 model. Considering that no other reviewers has reviewed a 2022 model yet. Redline Reviews just wanted to get some extra views by calling this 2021 model a 2022. What a shame.

This summary above fuels my frustration with the auto industry. Totally ignores that half the 4xe owners purchased based on 375hp and 470ft-lbs of torque instead of mpg. These impressive numbers are not even mentioned in the summary. We need "car guys" reviewing cars, not appliance salesmen.
