I got the High Voltage battery recall two months ago. Dealer didn't know about it. Service manager went and looked it up with me in his office over his shoulder. He did say there was a recall on the steering stabilizers due to faulty valving which is all it showed on his computer. There's no fix for the battery if they forgot to put some washer and torque it down properly. If thats the case and it charred the terminal they would have to replace the entire battery which they do not have. Crazy. Before I traded mine in for a gas 3.6, I charged it outside of the garage. I am doubtful many have issues but they should all be looked into regardless. (There's no available steering stabilizers and he told me I'd be better off going aftermarket)

Shows on mine. Maybe yours isn't affected. It says "some."

Scary sounding recall. Iā€™m wondering how long it will take for them to have a solution for the LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER issue. My dealer didnā€™t have much to say when I called today about it

Honestly super glad I came across this thread. Made me decide to check if I had any recalls, and I guess 21-22 JLā€™s with the 2.0L have a recall for coolant leaks. I havenā€™t noticed any, but would hate to find out the hard way!

I checked my vin... I'm affected. If it's just a sw mod, the fix will be easy, but it may take a while to write & then validate the code. Going snow wheeling tomorrow; sure hope I don't have a loss of motive power event in a couple feet of fresh snow.

I wonder how many people will be looking to trade their 4xe in if the fix is still months away. Would a dealer accept a trade on a vehicle they would have to sit on before being able to sell?

I sold my 4XE to Carvana a few months ago. For grins and giggles, I have been checking every couple of weeks to see how they have lowered the price. This morning, I couldnā€™t find it. I ended up searching by the VIN, and found it with a ā€œstop saleā€ banner on Carvanaā€™s website referencing an open recall.

I sure do miss the insane power (for a Jeep) of my 4XE, but I never once have doubted my new 3.6Lā€™s ability to get me wherever I wanted to go.

Just purchased my 4xe in early November with no recalls per the Jeep app. I guess not all 2023 are affected.

Just out of curiosity, what made you switch to a 3.6 JL?
