Here's my story... My wife and I are empty-nesters and she told me to buy a "midlife crisis" car. She thought I would want some type of Porsche (or similar). Nope. I just wanted a 2-door Wrangler Sport S, not even a Rubicon. I had wanted a Jeep since I started carpooling with a buddy in the early-90s who had a '85 CJ-7. But life (kids) got in the way of buying a Jeep.

My wife and I have taken many road trips in the Jeep and have visited most of the national parks east of the Mississippi River. We are planning a road trip to Utah later this year to visit Moab and Utah's Mighty 5 national parks. Lots of fun so far.

Soooo.......... I kind of have a problem. Car Addiction. Corvette is 700+ Supercharged built for drag racing and daily driving. Within a week of purchasing it I installed an A&A Vortec supercharger and drove from Connecticut to Charleston SC on a whim. Straight through. Ran a best of 9.8 @ 138 mph New England Dragway Epping NH. Also run it at Lebanon Valley in NY

Tacoma is just daily driver with 2" lift and a little off roading. Camping, hunting fishing and all around truck stuff.

Bought the Ocean Blue Wrangler JL as Girlfriends Jeep she always wanted. And Operation "Mall Crawler" began. Rubicon rims, Nitto Trail Grappler 34" tires and a 2" mopar lift. Steel bumper and winch. probably forgetting something, but you get the idea. Had to ask her how muddy the Sephora parking lot got (hair and Make up store) lol

So she wanted to go to the New Jersey Jeep invasion. They had an obstacle course set up. I got in line and as soon as it was our turn I jumped out of the driver seat and said your driving. Deer in the headlights look but she did it. Several built jeeps got stuck. I just told her to listen to me gas when I tell her and dont let off until i tell her. she went through the whole thing and went to go around the hill climb. Loader driver drove the loader in front of her and pointed to the hill. I told her to back up and straighten out hammer down untill i say let off. Right over the top, caught air. she was a little slow letting off the gas . After that it has been our on the beach cruiser, Cape Cod, Corolla NC outerbanks, etc.,

Had to go buy the white one because I didn't want to break hers. Mopar lift 35" BFG KM2's.

And i like to turn my own wrenches. Doing heads cam on 2000 SS Camaro here.
