Auburn Hills — Jeep has cut pricing on its lineup as a part of an altered strategy under new brand leadership after the automaker bled U.S. market share and is set to launch its first all-electric vehicles in North America.
Jeep sales declined 6% in 2023 in the United States. It’s facing increasing competition in niches that for years it had held mostly to itself, and with some of the highest-priced vehicles in its segments, inflation and higher interest rates has dissuaded price-sensitive buyers. Quality issues challenged results of its effort to expand market coverage and introduce a sub-brand with the full-size Wagoneer SUVs.

To address swollen MSRPs and some of that lineup crowding, here's what Jeep has planned after binning the Renegade and Cherokee models:
I'm going to translate and create my own headline;
Jeep executives read Wrangler Forums, listen to core consumer base who argue that prices are crazy high and quality sucks. The easy fix is to drop prices while ignoring quality problems and make 2024 bonus numbers.

- The 2024 Jeep Wrangler gets an additional $3,000 worth of content, things like a wider screen, side airbags in the rollbar, power seat upgrades, and relocating the antennae so it is imbedded in the greenhouse.
- The 2024 Jeep Gladiator pickup also gets an additional $3,000 worth of content and starting this week, the price will drop by $1,700. It now starts just under $40,000.
