According to Jeep brand boss, Mike Manley, hybrid powertrains are being considered for future Wranglers due to the strong initial torque and crawl ratios.
In an interview with Auto Express, Manley stated that there is “potential for hybrid powertrains in the future” as he understands for the Wrangler crowd “the most important thing is the initial torque and the crawl ratio.”
He also stated that the three priorities for the next generation 2018 Jeep Wrangler are preserving the look, improving fuel economy and creating better on-road dynamics.
