I recently ran into the Diff Locker issue that has become common for so many JL Rubicons.
Thanks to the members here I learned of the Z Locker OEM work around and quickly ordered one, problem is mine doesn't fit on the differential side of the plug. I'm not above the occasional simple user error but after investigation (and carefull review of instructions) I see that the plugs alignment/orientation pins is located in a different position then the connector in the diff. Has anyone else had this issue? The Z locker OEM is on the left side of pic. The right side is the connector from the diff. I've reached out to Z Automotive to sort this out but haven't had any contact to date. Its been 48 hours.

Was there ever any resolution for you on this issue? I was thinking about ordering one recently as well...

I'm receiving the jumper today. Samantha emailed me that "trimming the opening is pretty normal."
She sent me a before and after photo.
She also reminded me to plunge it into the "problem diff" because an individual one is required for each diff.
I will post how it turns out.

The first plug would not fully seat into the rear diff; even with a little trimming. Z automotive asked for a photo and now are sending me a new one based on how it looks.
(It looked fine to me)

In the meantime the service manager at the dealer has committed to bring it in for another look.
I'll unmarry/disconnect the Z programmer before.

People are trying except for Jeep Engineering, but still without lockers.

I'll report in around the middle of the week.

I took it to an off road shop and they got it plugged in.
It cleared the the light and the lockers operated. As soon as I drove off the lot the light came back on. We could not make them work again.
The dealer has it now and the service manage says he'll "get to the bottom of it."

Update:
The dealer has had the JL for a week. The Service Mgr. is really getting after it. New chassis wire harness, new rear locker module and they have new (2nd) rear axle housing (on order.)
I don't expect to get it back til the middle of next month.
I have 2 Z Automotive OEM LOCKER JUMPERS ready in case I need them.
I have my fingers crossed!
Will keep you posted

JL has been at the dealership (Larry Miller) for three weeks now. They have tried a new rear axel housing, wire harness, new control module, disconnecting Tazer, reconnected Tazer, hooked up OEM LOCKER bypass and disconnected it.
They CAN NOT fix it.
Rubi has been sitting in their back lot in 115F heat for weeks. My brand new $300 37's are cooking in AZ sun.
They don't want me to bring it back to my garage because; "It might somehow damage the Jeep."
I do not know what the hell to do!

Well I got the JL back from the dealer and the lockers are working now.
The dealer reports that they found:
A short in the rear diff sensor circuit and replaced the DTCM, but still had no power to so they attached an "overlay to the rear locker.
That cleared the DTC, but the rear locker still would not engaged.

They rechecked all the wiring and installed a new rear axel locker Actuator (which come with a whole axel housing/ diff.)
The rear locker was then operating "intermittently."

They found an "open circuit of the rear locker sensor return circuit."

"THEY OVERLADED THE WIRING HARNESS WITH A JUMPER WIRE FOR THE T538 Circuit sensor return and soldered in the new wire."

Now the locker is working again. (With not messages)

I'm not sure that this jumper is factory's spec. but it's working so far.

I now have a Z Auto OEM locker jumper I'm not using.

All I can say is that the problem appeared to have been primarily centered around the rear locker sensor, actuator and the wiring harness.
hopefully this may help the next guy figure their's out.
