Well to be honest 244* does seem high, but with the EcoDiesel it doesn't seem to be unusual. Every time I go South on I-35 at 70mph (5 under the speed limit). It's not just a Texas thing either, happening occasionally on trips in cooler climates. What do you consider to be a reasonable oil temperature?
More importantly, why do you think a < ½ ton truck can haul that heavy of a load without problems?
lol, you missed a hell of a thread man. A GenPop dudebro proclaimed that Gladiators can't do truck stuff. Like verbatim the quote was "Gladiators can't do truck stuff". Called him out on it and he kept changing the definition of truck stuff to be anything that related to the Gladiator feeling too much like a Jeep and not being a half ton. Was a wild ride.
Got the point that he was accusing us of putting words in his mouth when we'd quote things he'd said previously that he was now contradicting. Or was that the second thread where we argued for days with the same dude about how torque converters work and whether or not the 1500-1800 RPM range was the most useful....
YOU PUTTIN WORDS IN MY MOUTH AGAIN BRAD?!?!?!Well to be honest 244* does seem high, but with the EcoDiesel it doesn't seem to be unusual. Every time I go South on I-35 at 70mph (5 under the speed limit). It's not just a Texas thing either, happening occasionally on trips in cooler climates.
I do recognize that I was punching waaay above my weight class so I was keeping a very close eye on my engine vitals displayed on my iDash. Admittedly, it still wasn't the smartest thing to do. Fingers crossed I didn't do any damage.
All that aside, this thread was a joke, referring back to some banter in the Jeep Humor waiting room about a year ago. Tracked down where Remorseless summarized it nicely:
Half of it anyway...Don’t fall for the extremely dry wit and deadpan sarcasm of @BDinTX . Pretty sure he’s having a laugh.
We absolutely use cat piss. I've tried dog and horse, but their cooling properties just don't work as well as cat. I haven't pinpointed yet it male or female works better though. Currently it's just been a mixture.you crazy diesel fucks probably cool your oil with cat piss or whatever
