Thought I’d post this here to get folk’s thoughts as it relates to the 392?

Edit: Chicago autoshow release: https://media.stellantisnorthamerica.com/newsrelease.do?id=22839&mid=1

If the Rubi is getting this, trying to figure out what is actually incremental for the 392 given it already has a different suspension (and I thought lifted a bit). Seems the price is the same for Rubi or 392 at $3,995.

Also wondering if the wheels are the same bronze design given a little wider, or same as Rubi.

Outrun has already added to his 392 so I’m sure will pipe in.

ultimately - is this worth adding if you were going to put 35s on anyway?

The new Jeep Wrangler Xtreme Recon Package includes:
LT315/70R17C (35-inch) BF Goodrich KO2 All-Terrain Tires
17-inch x 8-inch Beadlock Capable Wheels
4.56:1 Axle Ratio
1.5-inch Factory Suspension Lift with uniquely tuned shocks
The results: Best-in-class approach angle, departure angle, ground clearance and water fording capability:
Approach angle – 47.4 degrees
Breakover angle – 26.7 degrees
Departure angle – 40.4 degrees
Ground clearance – 12.9 inches
Water fording – 33.6 inches
Customers can now order the Jeep Wrangler Xtreme Recon package on both Wrangler Rubicon 4-door and Wrangler Rubicon 392 models. Production at the Toledo (Ohio) Assembly Plant will start in August.

A new 4.88:1 axle ratio will be available on the Wrangler Rubicon. When paired with the six-speed manual transmission, this optional axle ratio delivers a best-in-class 100:1 crawl ratio for increased wheel torque and control when navigating off-road obstacles. The 4.88:1 axle ratio will be available for ordering later in 2021.

EDIT: added list of features posted elsewhere - includes Mopar hinge reenforcement and spare tire relocation kit. Deleted a couple of things that aren’t on the 392 package (as likely already there)

Details:
  • LT315/70R17C 113/110S Tires (TVC)
  • Dana M210 Wide HD Tube Front Axle (DJV)
  • 110mph Vehicle Max Speed Calibration (JJ3)
  • Wheel Flare Extensions (NLA)
  • MOPAR Tire Relocation Kit (XFP)
  • Anti-Lock 4-Wheel Disc Perf Brakes (BR4)
  • 17x8.0 beadlock Capable Wheel (WFC)
  • MOPAR Jack Spacer (CXK)
  • 35" Tire Suspension (SDG)
  • MOPAR Hinge-Gate Reinforcement (XDB)
  • GVW Rating - 6100# (Z1M)
  • 4.56 Rear Axle Ratio (DMU)

I just called my dealer this morning to add to my order from two weeks ago. He’s not sure yet if we can add it at this point or not. Can anyone confirm that they have in fact been able to order this package with a new 392 order?

I do NOT think you will be able to order it until a couple of months after it's debut at the July auto show. I am changing my 392 gears to 4.56:1 for my 35" tires. Does any of you think the exhaust is just a little to loud when you gun it with the free exhaust in the closed position ?

My dealership said they called Jeep and can't do it, even from D status. Can do simple changes like paint but not this...

Has anyone done the math with the stock 392 with 35" tires to see if all they are doing is putting 35" tires on 8" rims and calling it an Extreme Recon ? and change the gearing to 4.56:1 ....

I added it to mine with no issues. Got CC'd on emails from my dealer communicating with Sellantis.

It's about $7K in parts alone. Not including labor or warranty. Excluding the 110mph upgrade.

My dealer successfully added it to my order yesterday. I also added gorilla glass as well. Really excited about this package.

It's little bit by little bit that we beat Bronco. Jeep is still the King of the Hill.

No, I was asking if Jeep going from 33" tires to 35" tires is what is changing the approach, breakover and departure angle's along with the ground clearance?
