Picked mine this weekend, absolutely in love with the looks and stands tall.

Drove 600 miles over the weekend to bring back from dealer- highway speeds at 70. Mileage was 13.6 - windy and cold weather though. it was an effort to keep it in the lane .
Congratulations. When they are big and tall like that the wind is not your friend unless it’s a tail wind.

Looks awesome. The AEV wheels keep the tires more tucked in than the XR wheels due to the different offset. Do you think the XR specific fender extensions are still needed?

I think so, plus it’s just part of what makes the XR different.✌🏼

Will a stock Rubicon XR fit in the garage or are they to tall?

So I went into local dealer to order a 392. Have bought several high end cars and trucks from them in past. Dealer was bought by Chapman. I sit down with a salesman who tells me right off that there is a 10 thousand over fee they are getting. I stand up to walk out and he says they can wave that. I sit back down and we go back and forth. He treats me like a un-educated buyer. I am not. I do my homework. We FINALLY come to a agreement and shake hands on the deal. Then, his sales manager comes in to place the order. He tells me the price can go up at anytime through the delivery process. Then after trying to get me to add every option they have he tells me the price the salesman gave me was no good. He said the Jeep website that everyone in the free world uses (Jeeps official sight) was wrong by over two thousand dollars. He did not try and explain or even talk to me about it. Just left the room with me and his salesman. Salesman said thats how it is. I would not find it any cheaper anywhere else. I live in a fairly small town. I try and do business local even though I usually pay 500.00 plus more. Needless to say I walked. Went home and made a few calls and quickly found several dealers that would happily take my order with no additional fees. They also confirmed there was nothing wrong with Jeeps website. One of them, Earnhardt, told me about a couple XR's that were coming in. Not a 392 but basically what I wanted only with the 3.6. After very little trouble and my credit card for a deposit I had my name on a in-coming order someone else had cancelled. A week and a half later and here it is. Probably the easiest buying experience I have ever had. Great people to deal with. 6 hour round trip but it was worth it.
700 miles so far and liking it a lot.
Lots of parts waiting to go on.

In the last 3.5 months I have amassed quite the collection of parts for the XR when it arrives. Shocks, coils, bumper and rockslider steps for the little lady and some odds and ends.
