Why the switch from K02 to Duratrac?
To be honest KO2 are crap. No good on wet or slippery roads, easily Pack up with mud so they aren’t great off-road, they hold rocks until you get on the highway And they are undersized.
their only pluses are quiet on the road and smooth ride. They are good if you stay on dry pavement …

I hate ko2. They slide all over the place in the rain. Horrible tires. I will do the same.

I have had both. Duratrac are by far the best tire you will find for winter driving outside of a dedicated winter tire. Advantage to Duratrac in deep snow over winter tires.

The Duratrac tended to follow the lines in the road and bounce around the lane a lot. I'd say K02 is a better daily driver tire.

Downside of K02 is they puncture easily. I've taken nails and such which required patches. With the Duratrac, or MT tires I've run, the tread was thicker and would have been a non issue.

The K02 do have a knack for picking up pebbles 😆

He measured it at the rubi rails and it is 1.75” taller in the front and 1” taller in the rear than his Gladiator. Should note though, his has ace rails installed and also has a tow bar attachment so it’s a touch heavier than stock
That's a big difference. Especially with him having 35s installed.

They look perfect. I’m looking at an XR. I am not sure if I love the Mopar wheels but they’ll do.

What does one do when they got the itch but no time to go wheeling? Climb your own rocks I guess. Just have the TF 1” spacer up front and trying to get an idea of the limitations of the mostly stock suspension. May have to piece together some upgrades, so thinking shocks and sway bar links next.

Wife wouldn’t let me climb the big rock, so didn’t bother pointing the tires correctly.

2.5” Rock krawler triple rate springs
Metal Cloak RockSport Shocks
You will not believe the difference in makes in Ride quality.

It’s nice to have rocks in your back yard to play on.

I have the TF spacer and added shocks intended for a 2.5” lift & adjustable sway bar links. Really helped with the ride quality & travel/flex.

Jeff, I’ve been following your suspension journey. I like the idea of the RK springs but will probably go with the Fox 2.0. I know a lot of people like the MC RS TTs though.

Which shocks did you go with?
