Hi everyone, My first post on JL forums. I placed an order for a Willys XR a couple weeks ago. Does anyone know if the XR front axle is just a rebranded Gladiator axle?

Can anyone chime in on mpg with the 2.0 willys xr?
I don’t think there are any out there yet. I am curious too. I want to know how the 2.0 does with 4.56 gears.

If you’re thinking that a 5,000lb car with 35” tires is going to get good mileage with any gas engine, I think you’re going to be disappointed. Sorry.
My six thousand pound raptor on 35s gets 21 under 70mph. It does happen with modern engines, all depends on throttle percentage and boost levels

Damn, I'm jealous. My 2014 Raptor with the 6.2L is lucky to get 14.5 mpg while going downhill with a tailwind. Our 2021 JLUR XR with the 3.6 is averaging around 18+. I'm pretty happy with that as my previous JK was more around the 14 mpg average.

Sweet. It didn’t take you long to remove the bumper ends. It looks awesome.
Thanks. I picked this up used with about 10,000 miles on it. It was ordered with plastic bumpers but the previous owner added the front steel bumper.
I need a winch mount so am debating spending $250ish for the winch mount or $500-600 for a different steel bumper.
Anyone know what the OEM steel bumper weighs?

With that OEM steel bumper, is there a metal bash guard running from it underneath to cover the front bits? Or the basic plastic one? I have an XR on order with the steel bumper group, and hoping it has a metal skid with it...

The steel bumper comes with a steel front lower skid plate.

Yes, mine has a metal skid plate under the bumper.
