So I decided to remove my springs and do a clearance check with my 37x12.5x17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT (they are 36.25 mountes). Its close but everything clears thanks to those super long factory bump stops.

Did you happen to measure the compressed shock length with it bottomed out? I'm trying to compare to a non-XR to get the bump stop lengths.

Yes, I'm aware of that chart. It shows the compressed shock length off of the vehicle. I'm interested in how much of the shock stroke is wasted, which is why I want the shock length with the suspension compressed. It will also be a decent indicator of bump stop length vs. non-XR.

I had the shock unbolted. Just measure the length of shock piston tube and compare it to the distance between the bumpstop and axle.

FYI he’s asking because he literally made the spreadsheet you linked.

2.5” spring swap will give you that little extra space for 37s

Reviving an old thread. Wondering if you were able to take your XR/37s wheeling and flex it out. Any rub?

Unless your lift or spacer or whatever else has been mentioned in this thread to "add breathing room" includes more bump stop, you didn't add any breathing room. Your suspension will still compress to the exact same place as the pics the OP posted. Not saying the spacer or lift skirting is useless, as you did all add uptravel from ride height, but ultimately your bumpstops are what keep your tires out of your fenders. Unless you added shocks so long that they act as bumpstops, but you'd be better off letting a tire rub the fender.

Wondering what you had to do to mount the 37 spare tire, if anything? Thanks!
Just have to move the 3rd brake light up a screw hole. 37 fits fine with the bumper.
