Hi all,

I have a stock 2022 Rubicon with the factory XR package and I find the ride in town when going under 40 mph to be a very jarring ride. It isn't as bad on the highway.

If you are running SDI E-Click shocks, what would you say by a percentage that the ride quality in town increased by?

I did call SDI, but they dodged the question. Also, I am running 32 psi on all four tires. Tried lower psi's and still a jarring ride. I am coming from a JK that had a way softer ride.

Speed is one thing, but what type of terrain do you find jarring? Cracks in the road, potholes, speed bumps in a parking lot? Ride quality is subjective so what may seem like a dodged question is really just a hard thing to answer.

Do you find yourself bottoming out the suspension? Curious to know how much up travel you have? Are you looking to maintain the factory height and just looking to replace shocks? We've done a lot of tuning for street driven vehicles like you have referenced. We've been pretty successful, so happy to look into options for you if there is interest.

What tires are you running, you know the ply count?

One of the reasons why I picked the GY Duratracs over my long used BFG KM2s is for the ride.. That KIM2 is one tough tire. The Duratac is a GREAT tire all the way around and at 32 psi it rides as good as a Caddy and at the same time its good off road tire if you are not chasing 7+ trails it will get you almost anywhere.

I did run on my TJR KM2s 16-18 psi...

Good questions...I am running the factory KM2's which are a Load C and I don't think the suspension is bottoming out, since the dust on the bump stops doesn't show any marks. For the street conditions...just normal run of the mill roads in town with pot holes and cracks are all jarring in this new jeep. Where the JK with Duratracs I wouldn't even notice the road.

Tire pressure in tires?
Was your JK completely stock also, so you are comparing apples to apples?

Right on, well shocks could be different even though they are both stock. I'll let other XR owners chime in with experience and maybe they have similar experiences. We custom tune Fox shocks, so I am fairly confident we could get you a much nicer ride for what you have now. Keep us in mind if that sounds like something you would be interested in.
