I didn't have the same luck as you. After my bumper and winch install I was hitting my bump stops driving in town. It basically made mine non drivable. The very minimum would have been to add spacers which wasn't a solution for me.
thats odd. Your on stock 35s?

Yes, I'm still on the stock tires but will be switching to 37's. I'll probably go with MT's as it has decent wind noise over 70mph. I am very satisfied with my Jeep so far. Just took it to CO and getting used to operating it off road.

I actually think if you get the extended bumps you can take it back to the dealership for a fix.

I remember reading on this forum that the bumpstop issue comes when they throw the 392 bumps on non 392 XRs accidentally.

it looks good, but I’ve already hit the bump stops driving around town. I’m going to have to install spacers to recover the limited uptravel it came with.
WTF kind of town do you live in? ? I have a pretty knarly 2 mile dirt road with rain washouts and rocks heading up the mountain by my house that I drive on and haven't hit the bump stops on my XR Jeep once.

You, like me, probably got the correct bump stops with your XR. Should have around 5-5.5 up IIRC

Stock XR except aluminum front bumper, 37’s and under armor aluminum skid plates and it flexes ok to me on trails up to 6/7 ratings so far ??‍♂

Does yours have the extended bump stops? My setup is very similar and I have maybe 1/2 inch between bump stop and bottoming out.

Yes, I believe all XR’s have the large bump towers in front. Rear is normal. The large bump stops up front actually are perfect for BFG 37’s and keep them out of the fender.

I must drive too fast. Haha. I bottom out on bumps in town and the trail.

As soon as I put the winch up front I started bottoming out. I measured and the winch/bumper added some sag so I added a 1" spacer to level out. So far, no bottoming out but we'll see how it does on the trail.

Thanks for the information. Did the spacer change your ride comfort any?

The front shocks have 7-1/8" of travel. A 2.0/3.6 non-XR Rubicon has 7-7/8" of travel, but has about 1/2" of stroke wasted due to the bump stops length. Assuming the XR bump stops are exactly 1" longer, the useful travel should be almost the same.

What's your shock eye-to-eye length at ride height? Should be around 21.5"
