So I got my driver side fender damaged. Jeep in Carmel NY ordered me a new one but the paint job was disgusting. I showed my problem with it and they “took care of it” by swapping a flare from another Jeep.
PROBLEM IS...it’s not a Rubicon flare!
See pics below

Close ups are of the first replacement with a very bad paint job. Full front pic is of the second flare that doesn’t even belong to my Rubicon they put on!

It looks like your Jeep is raising its eyebrow like the Rock.

Get them to fix it! Go raise hell!

But their body shop is shit. They already ruined the original flare that I purchased.
I HOPE they can send it to North Star, a body shop that’s AMAZING and cover the cost!
I’m going to call tomorrow and flip out

Haha! Sorry to laugh at your expense but it shows just how incompetent some dealers can be. How the hell could somebody install that and say "yep, looks good to me, I done good"...

Waiting on @JeepCares to call me back also. I NEED them to help me and call over there.
This is so unacceptable. They rushed me over bringing back the loaner, and for what?!?!
I’m shocked. My Jeep has been at the dealer more than I’ve owned it. AND NOW THIS

I'm actually angry for you. That is ridiculous! Good luck and don't back down until they make it right.

Hi 2019RubiconNY,
We completely understand your disappointment. I have notified your case manager and they will be in contact with you shortly to discuss this further.

:CWL: On the plus side, you have a really nice pic of the difference between the standard and Rubi flares. It's the best pic I've seen. Take some more and post them here or in the general discussion forum. Somebody will appreciate them!

Also, great plate :like:

Dealer repainted fender flare for the second time, minor imperfection on lower bottom by the driver door but barely noticeable.
What a pain in the butt. Body shop manager said it was being repainted, another manager tells me to come pick it up and take it to wherever I want to take it to be painted and they would refund me the labor, smh
I ended up going to dealer ready for a fight since they can’t even get on the same page in the dealership and I end up seeing the painter who told me it was done and a huge pain in the ass to paint because the flare doesn’t detach from the black trim. Why would FCA make a flare 2 pieces and not give the option of separating it?
Whatever, point is the correct flare is on and ready to go!

This is an invaluable and never-seen picture showing difference between Rubicon and Sahara fender flare! Very educational thanks!

P.S. are Rubicon fenders ‘wider’ as well? They seem to over-protrude the wheels better than the Sahara fender.

The dealer tech must be like.. For science! When he put it on and proceed to pat himself on the back.
