Wrap twisted rope around bumper/spare tire?

I have a Sarge Green Rubicon on the way. I want to make it more "army-like". One way I was planning to do that is buying twisted rope and wrapping it around the bumper, or through and around the spare tire.

Is there enough room to wrap a rope around the steel bumper, or through the spare tire? I was thinking something like this (did not find spare tire examples):

You will have to remove a trim piece on the front bumper, then you should be able to. This will look cool. Post a pic when you have done it.

Make sure the ends are well secured ! And if its Manilla Rope, like the pix, its Ornamental Only...

I know you were just talking about the rope, but I do love me a nice square tube bumper. It might look a little out of place on the JL, but I'd be tempted by it if anyone made one with shackles, fog cutouts and a winch plate. There's something about the simple utility of it.

That’ll be an awesome look. For reference, here’s what mine looked like with the bumper off, (plastic bumper removed and off to the left) - there’s plenty of room if you take off the trim piece on the top, and also remove the air dam at the bottom (or cut a hole in it).

The steel bumper will have a plastic trim piece on top, but more in the way will be the skid plate.
