They arent worth it and if you wheel it becomes an obstacle to putting out fires or doing basic maintenance.

Has anyone used the jeep kill code using tazer?

Theft is common, and i have tazer, wondering if I could use that to any benefit.

Or would hood lock be better? As i do use remote start nearly everytime I start my jeep.

It works. Just know that Tazers are getting commonly known amongst the crews that specifically target Jeeps. If it's just the common scumbag, you're good. Keep an eye on firmware updates and their socials for updates as it was a rough introduction for that feature.

I mean you can say that about anything.

I’ve never seen a door lock I couldn’t get past in a couple seconds with a [prybar/brick]. Locking doors aren’t worth it and if you wheel it becomes an obstacle to putting out fires or basic cleaning.

The Bolt hood lock, unlike the OEM one, can be left unlocked without the key inserted. If you’re really concerned about a fire while wheeling, just unlock it when you hit the trail.

I second these latches. Extremely sturdy. Also, I used a Tazer JL Mini to link the under hood plunger sensors to the alarm.

I bought the locking gas cap off Amazon and keyed it to my fob.

Yep. I use the same locking gas cap (which, like a hood lock, should be a standard fitment) on my Jeep and I enjoyed the process to match the lock's cylinder to my fob key.

The Bolt option is well regarded. That's what I installed on my Jeep.

Note that you'll need a rivet gun capable of handling the provided 1/4" rivets.

I purchased a 2020 Sahara unlimited. I was curious on thoughts of hood locks. I've seen some that are steel and some I'm guessing are ABS maybe ? What do all recommend ?

I got rid of the ugly bulky plastic oem latches and went with slim line and aerodynamic locking latches. Everyone that sees them agrees they are so much better. I painted mine to match body color.
