Hey guys I wanted to ask you all a quick question if this is noramal. This is my 2nd wrangler rubicon 2018 in 2 months. 1st one was a lemon so I traded out of it due not wanting to deal with it any longer. One thing I notice is in 2nd gear when I accelerate starting at 3k rpm all the way to 5.5k rpm the power kicks in nicely and you feel the horsepower/torque, HOWEVER, lets say I am on 3rd gear and start at 3-4k rpm and accelerate it feels sluggish ,definitely not like 2nd gear. Is this normal? I have done this so far in 2 manual wrangler jls . If this is normal then thats fine. I just wanted all of your thoughts on this

It's a low torque v6---you have to learn how to maintain the RIGHT RPM/GEAR--

It won't doit for you--you have to learn-

How many miles do you have on it? I'm past 4k miles and the performance is waking up nicely. 7,500 miles seems to be where things get normalized.

Agreed. I'm at 5,500 miles in my Rubi and it's gotten better the more I drive. To the OP's original post, as others mentioned, you have to learn where to keep RPMs at but completely normal.

9k miles, and drives the same as when it had 6 miles. I think the only thing that “wakes up” after several thousand miles is the driver. :cwl:

Well you must’ve gotten one broken in at the factory because my MPG has also risen from 15 to 18.5 since new.
