I contacted Jeep today and asked about this. I read a couple months back that all Wrangler models were supposed to come in a 4Xe hybrid. however we are seeing just the Sahara and Rubicon trims available. Personally, I hate filling up my jeeps, but don’t need these higher cost trims.

Jeeps reply... it’s not available and we can’t confirm if it will be?

If the launch goes well, I'd be very surprised if they didn't release it to the sport model.

I don't think anyone has a 4XE model in there possession yet. Basically Jeep just start building them at the end of February, so it is going to be a while before they start rolling out new model variations.

It will be available, in all likelyhood we will be looking closer to the end of the year before it rolls out though. I assume they are hoping to get early adopters into the upper trim levels.

And then 392 in barebone sport trim with manual locks and hand crank windows and no AC?

So you’re saying you want a plug in hybrid with crank windows and manual locks

lol

Think the base model was supposed to be more in line with the Sport S or Willy's S but basically as few frills as they can get away with.

Yes. It’s not you, so why are you so worried about it? Appreciate your great contribution to the thread

Agree on a Base Sport, I want the Electric for silence, and for fun. Don't need or want frills, crank windows and manual locks are fine.

same. I’m just wondering when Chrysler will release the sport trim. I’m guessing they are trying to get all the high trims sold now to squeeze $, then release the lower trims.

That is what Tesla did with releasing the Roadster first, then Model S/X, then eventually the Model 3/Y. Electrification is expensive at the beginning.

It is also possible they don't have the parts inventory to include the more affordable models.
