I recently bought a 2018 Wrangler JL and removed the OEM bumper! In the pic you can also see the before and after shots of removing the OEM fenders as well :) I tried an aftermarket bumper by Razer Auto and didnt like how it looks! I'm wanting to go back to the bare look of no bumper. My question is, which fog lights and or turn signals do you recommend? Options easy to accommodate existing frame would be ideal! Any thoughts welcome :)

P.s. I live in Los Angeles if you wanna bond over jeeping!

I am sorry I can't help you but I will watch this thread with interest because I am also interested in knowing what simple bumper options are out there!

Interesting where did you get those fenders? Any side pics of the fenders? Baja Designs has some good set of aftermarket lights but for turn signals, I haven't seen much.

SCIENCE!
Which talks about vehicle height and does not specify a requirement for bumpers themselves. Specifically, it even has a statement for "in the absence of bumpers". Maybe you should spend more than 10 seconds reading it.
Doesn't stop a VA state police officer from ticketing you for defective equipment. Yes, officer would be wrong, but VA doesn't have a strong record on being kind or fair to motorists. Maybe it's just my Jersey bias, where you're guilty until proven guilty, and it's just a negotiation with a prosecutor as to how guilty you are...

Anyhow, more power to you, @Sierra_supersport_82! You're braver than I--I'm scared to put a stubby on my Jeep, let alone going completely bumperless! Signals will likely be tricky; without the embedded lights in the grill (as the JK had), it'll be hard to find a way to get blinkers up front without something obtrusive. Watching to see how this turns out...

Well of course there is a never ending list of things that are not illegal that a bad police officer could ticket you for, but that doesn't make them illegal. It makes the police wrong.

It is illegal in the state of CA to drive without a front bumper, however I'm familiar with law enforcement caring more about a front liscense plate attached to the vehicle. I have asked a few "PoPos" and it's to the officers discretion. I did get pulled over in Bel Air, CA because apparently it's a "thing" to commit crimes with paper plates. I had everything the officer asked for (liscense, registration, insurance) and no ticket. I asked if anything else was of concern (which I knew I didnt have fog lights or turn signals) and both officers said no. I took off my back bumper too! Rebel I know!!! I'll keep you posted if "no front bumper" or "no rear bumper" becomes ticketed

I got the fenders off Ebay:
Look at this on eBay

I've removed front and rear bumpers from my 2018 JL, in addition to fenders. I will soon also have a 2.5 inch lift with 35 inch tires and new wheels. I can post anything youd like :) I did include one original picture with the plastic fenders for comparison!

So are you planning on keeping it bumperless? Seems like that's asking for a lawsuit from some "in a wreck, need a check" lawyer. Not to mention the lack of protection for your engine compartment and frame rails in the event of an accident.
