My wife is 4' 8", weighs 597 pounds. She has some issues getting into the Rubicon. So we use a forklift to help her get in. I air the right side tires up to 45 psi. (If she sees this, I'm dead).

Daughter is 4’10” and she has no problems getting into our Sahara with 2.5” lift and 35” tires. It is a bit awkward for her to step out of the vehicle however, usually sliding down off the seat rather than stepping down onto the nerf bars.l and the stepping down again into the ground.

My wife is 5'6. Would she have trouble getting into and out of a JL Rubicon compared to a Sport S?
No. They are almost the same height. Best bet would to go visit a dealer and let her climb in one.

My wife is 5' even and it's a climb for her but she's strong and petite so she doesn't have too much trouble grabbing the handle and hoisting herself in, so your wife should have no problem.

Yep, that would have been the best bet but he has already ordered one now without doing that. My wife is around 5' 6" and fit. She can get in and out of our JLR but would be happier if we added steps of some sort. That may be due to being accustomed the convenience of having retractible steps on our Expedition and F150.

Johnny

My 4’11” wife—no issues with our his/hers Saharas, no issues with my old F-150 FX4 OffRoad. My 4’10” mother-in-law....hates all of them. Oh well, she can drive herself then, in her Ford Escape.

Reading this thread, I didn't know there were so many mini people in the world.

I have a 2" lift on my Sport S with 33's and my 5'1" wife climbs on in, no problem. Shouldnt be an issue. If it is, leave her at home :)

I think it is the nature of the question that most responses would be from shorter people. I'm refraining from good-natured comments about height because certainly some people would not like them. I'm impressed that very few people have problems getting into the taller vehicles.

Mountain Off-road makes a manually retracted step for < $150 that works for my wife getting in/out of my rubicon with 35’s and 2.5" lift. Easy install. Worth a look.

My wife is 5’6” and climbs into my lifted Rubicon on 37’s no problem. Stock sport would of course be no problem. IMO
