It's not an issue. The USB ports in the JL power down after about an hour. However I have a question since it's connected all the time to the Jeep do you think that can run the battery down?
Which one did you wind up getting?
Yes, really. Dealer is wrong.Rerally??? Funny the dealer said it aways stays on
Wow Will Thank you! I never thought of going to the manuel but thank you. I thought that since I installed the wireless carplay and my battery died it was because of the carplay. The dealer did say that the batteries are not what they used to be. I appreciate your commentsHere ya go
The batteries they are putting in these Jeeps are TERRIBLE and the whole dual battery setup is a joke, IMHO it’s best to remove the ESS battery and either move cables from the ESS battery to the main crank battery ( DONT USE ESS ) or go to a dual battery setup that uses better batteries.Wow Will Thank you! Im partial with what I have but it’s a huge investment but what on a Jeep is cheap
Wow, never knew this is a thing
I would go with one of the other brands that are more commonly used by those on this forum - CPlay2Air or CarLinkit. And how is the sound? do all of the other CarPlay functions work okay too?
The issue with the CarPlay is that since it's hooked up to the USB all the time it tends to run the battery down. My battery had to be replaced because of it. I retuned it to AmazonI would go with one of the other brands that are more commonly used by those on this forum - CPlay2Air or CarLinkit.
I have one of the original design CarLinkit adapters and it works perfectly. All CarPlay functions work and the sound is no different than when plugging in or streaming normally via bluetooth.
You had another issue then. The USB ports in the JL power down after an hour even if a device is connected. The issue with the CarPlay is that since it's hooked up to the USB all the time it tends to run the battery down. My battery had to be replaced because of it. I retuned it to Amazon
