Doc... Duh.
Been a while since I posted and could use some collective brains.
I recently installed the @Metalcloak front and rear bumpers and a Smittybuilt Gen 3 winch.
The rear I did myself. The front and winch I had done.

Issues I’ve run into.
1. The rear bumper sticks out just far enough the spare tire hits it and it won’t close. Appears the bolts for the factory trailer hitch keeps the bumper from getting snug enough. Planning to do an @ROCK HARD 4X4 brace and relocation and hoping that moves it out far enough to clear. I asked the shop which did the front bumper to try and see if I missed anything on the rear and they said nope. Won’t fit with the stock spare (metalcloak gold installer).

2. The winch. Like the winch but sweet baby Jesus is it a tight fit. Like it’s right against the grill and the solenoid (left cause won’t fit center) is against the stinger bar. There’s not even a millimeter. It touches. So can’t do a cover. Question since I didn’t install it is there is some room in front I wasn’t sure if winches have any wiggle room or the bolt pattern means they go in without any slop.

3. Factor 55 shackle. I cut off the steel shackle from the smittybuilt and the metal harness that’s left over oh boy is that not happy in the factor 55. It flares at the tip. I’m thinking maybe I can bend it narrower so it moves more freely. I don’t see how I can take it off and don’t know if it would be safe for the winch line to do so.

Thanks all.

Might want to get that checked out. I wouldn’t try bending it as you only get one ham candle.

Go on the Factor 55 website or youtube channel, they recommend smashing that thimble closed a little bit, I did it on mine and it works fine.
