So I have the ACE Engineering rock sliders. Absolutely love them. I got sideswiped and no damage. Left his paint on it. It came off fairly easy. But one Chicago winter and the salt started eating up the powder coating. Donā€™t want to have to take them off yearly to touch up. I took them in and had them LineXā€™d. Came out great. Originally forgot the before pictures. Added.

Had the same issue on my 2012 Rubicon. I've had to re-coat 3 times now. The last time I had a body shop sandblast, prime and re-coat them. Lasted a couple more years but lots of rust coming through again.
Won't be buying those for my JL.
Also it's worth noting the factory rock rails are still in near perfect shape so they've survived the salty roads here much better than the Ace Rails.

Ordered Willeys with all the fixin's March 13, received email today that the Jeep has shipped and should get it by the end of the week. We'll see. I am close to Toledo if that makes a difference.

Wow, that is a long wait, your car is losing value while you wait? Maybe it will be a "Classic" when you receive it and value will go up!

I don't have it or a pick up date so I will believe when I see it. When I ordered the GM said they have been getting them very fast - under 2 weeks. He said the 1 touch skytop may delay my order. Maybe it is being shipped to the factory that does the skytop for all I know

Ha!!
Yea I ordered on 1/4... ā€œestimatedā€ delivery date to the train yard (4 hours away) is 4/16... so Iā€™m assuming early May to the dealership. And the crazy thing is I did not order anything special on it except for the Willis unlimited sport package. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Very strange. Do you have a paper trail that they actually ordered it on time? Makes no sense that my dealership says orders are coming in at around 2 weeks and yours is months. I live an hour from toledo so if it is made there it just needs to be put on a flatbed and shipped, no trains involved. Maybe that is the difference?

Is your jeep built and stuck in the shipping process?

I have shipped product inventory from China, it arrives in LA overseas in a month, then to get to Michigan warehouse has taken another 4 to 6 weeks depending on the timing of the trains and the last mile delivery.

Yep, was ordered on time. It was stuck in ā€œfinal inspection stageā€ for 29 days. So frustrating. Now Iā€™m just waiting to get the call that it has arrived because it will drive me crazy if I keep getting mad about it...well one last frustration is that there is a train stop for Jeep 10 mins from my dealership, but the ship it 4 hours away in GA. Yea...

Hey! Meet my Willys, Bill.

Added some parts including Front and rear bumpers, skidplate, fenders, and front inners all from Fishbone Offroad.

Quake LED DRL/Turn Signal Switchbacks and Rhino USA rings.

I like the look of some of the Fishbone products. Their rock slider looks similar to the ~$650 Ace rock slider for ~$430.

Well the shop I used did all the prep and Iā€™ve used LineX before. Hopefully it is a one time fix and Iā€™m done.
