Does anybody know if the Recon package is planned to be offered on the 4xe models? It seems very strange that you can get the Rubicon X, but not the Recon/35" package on the 4xe models, when they've been pushing them as hard as they have. The factory re-gear, steel knuckles, and a few other things make it a relatively good deal even if you plan to swap the suspension for something better, so it's a bit frustrating that it isn't currently an option. I'm ready to order, but can wait some months if it's on the horizon.

I haven't been able to get any useful information out of dealerships, so was curious if anybody here had some inside information/heard anything.

I have a 2024 Rubicon X on order for transparency.

Until Jeep can improve the range of the 4xe with better batteries, or something else I would be surprised to see the XR package as an option. I can only imagine the additional weight from the beefed up hardware further reducing what is already a pretty bad all-electric range.

Totally understand where you're coming from. I'm just looking for the extra power, the e-only range is a nice bonus. I had a 2019 2.0 with 35s so know what I'm getting into, but I'd like the extra TQ.

I am sure they tested it and found it would reduce the range, so they canned it. They probably didn't want to offer the 4xe with different ranges based on model. Like you, I like the 4xe for the power and would rather have the option for these upgrades. I always thought this was why they didn't offer the Performance Rock Sliders from the factory for 4xes, but I guess adding a winch counters that theory.

A little off topic maybe, but may need to be said. The batteries for the electric motor on the 4XE last 7-10 years and today’s price for new batteries are $17,500. Food for thought.

I'm not really sure what you're intending to convey. Do you want to make an assertion?

If you're trying to suggest that one should be concerned about it due to cost of repair in the future, the battery is warrantied for 100k miles/10 years. Not many people keep vehicles that long; I most certainly do not, and the vehicle will be in someone else's hands long before it's time to recycle the cells. This is a stop-gap for me until we see about all of the rumored solid-state cells (that haven't reached mass production yet) vs. just going headfirst into a full BEV. I love my current PHEV and I'm sure I'll love the 4xe, too. All I'm looking for is additional power and any efficiency from PHEV usage is just a bonus to me.

None of this has anything to do with the topic. That's why I'd love to understand the impetus behind your post, especially in this thread about the XR package. Please explain!
