All it takes is just a few moments siting in traffic in 90's under the tropical sun and u get a temperature gauge that functions almost like a stopwatch. The key is to have some air moving trough the radiator because the heat just stays there stagnant if u don't .. if it was winter here all year this wouldn't so much be a problem. One thing I do want to point out that the JL has a pretty taxed cooling system compared to most vehicles. That relatively tiny radiator has oil to cool, and also the exhaust for the EGR .. Thats no small feat even if equipped with a manual tranny. Apart from that the stock fan is going to appreciate the help too.
