Will a new lift always create a pull left or right?

I'm a Jeep newby... first time owner & I love it. I've gone by a local 4WP to ask questions about what lift, how high, tires, etc... I own a lifted F150, so I'm somewhat familiar with lifts, tires and so forth. However the person at 4WP mentioned that regardless of what lift I go with, that it will pull to the left or right... he suggested a Skyjacker lift because it would give me the closest ride to factory.

This will be a daily driver, some off road but no rock climbing. My concern is his comment that it will pull to left or right regardless. I don't want to spend the $$ on a lift and then fight it all the time. My Pro Comp 6" on my F150 & rides great. His comment that there isn't a flat road in Dallas didn't give me a lot of confidence that he knew what he was talking about.

I've read other threads about jeeps drifting, my JL does a little on the hightway but nothing serious. So should I look for a lift with LCA, dual steering stabilizer???

To put it bluntly, he is full of shit. I wouldn’t let them touch my Jeep. My Jeep has a 2.5” lift (installed by me), and 37’s, tracks straight as a arrow.

Can confirm. I've had new lifts put in old Jeeps (with way more miles and issues) and they've tracked straight and true. This guy is likely an idiot. Don't let them touch your Jeep. And you shouldn't need more than 1 steering stabilizer. (I ran without one on my TJ for YEARS with zero issues).

Instead, go to a local off road shop and work with them, if you're not sure what you want or not interested in doing the work. I see you're in TX, off the top of my head I can think of @rustyshakelford and @TTEChris who are both active members of the forum with shops in TX that may be able to help you.

Go with a quality kit like MC or RK build would be my suggestion. No way I’d suggest a skyjacker, rough country etc.

The fact that he’s telling you it’ll pull is unfortunate and shows a lack of training and experience.

The lift won't cause a pull unless alignment is off. Bigger/wider tires are more likely to follow the road or pull however.

Was he referring to the Skyjacker spacer lift? If so, it will ride close to stock as it keeps your stock suspension. If it is a spring kit, it will not be close to stock. Skyjacker uses a duel rate spring which will be considerably stiffer.

It was the spring kit & I'm not a fan of Skyjacker, so I was not thrilled with his recommendation.

Skyjacker makes a nice kit for the JL. You can add their arms to it or geometry brackets. It is more firm though. Most lift kits will be.

If you want a stock like ride, your best bet is a spacer kit though as it keeps all of the stock suspension. RC makes one for about $200 and many members are running it.

If you want a nice riding spring kit I recommend the Mopar kit.

My wallet is in my left pocket, therefure the left side of the drivers side of the jeep will be lighter. It will pull to the right in my case after buying a lift.
