Most will, but make sure you accommodate the bump stop gaps you'll probably get from the offset of your new wheels. Grab some 1-1/4 in. garbage disposal air gap rubber hose, cut it to the appropriate length, and insert it into the bump stops so that your tires press against them snugly (doesn't need to be super tight). It's a quick, easy, and cheap mod that'll put less stress on the gate and the tire carrier. Even though the magnesium construction of the JL gate is phenomenally stronger than the JK gate, you can still put a lot of added stress on the tire carrier if the tire itself has room to move around.

How are all of you moving the light up. I undid the 4 screws and tried to slide mine up a bit, but it wouldn't budge. What am I missing?

For those of you with Metal Rear bumper & Sensor Rubicons - does the bigger tire (35) interfere with the parking sensors?

Okay, thanks. I assumed that was all you had to do to adjust it, but it seemed like it was held on by something else. I guess it was just snug and I didn't pull hard enough.

Running a larger tire/aftermarket wheel combo will tweak your tailgate. Mine started sagging and twisting out after 4-5 hours of moderate off-roading. I would highly recommend a reinforced set up or remove the spare before you go wheeling.

I have Milestars as well and it looks like I could fit 37s I have so much room. I did extend my bump stops. My rims are +12 offset.

My wheels are a -18 offset. Like I mention, offset or rear space is going to play a key role in needing the relocation bracket.

Hi You said very easy install. My dealer quoted $500.00 to install.I have watched a couple videos and it looks pretty easy.
I could not make it work with the 35”BFG KM3 mounted on Mopar 17” Gladiator rims and the factory steel rubicon bumper. I went with the Smittybilt spare riser. It has the least amount of setback and has more then enough clearance
Very easy install and looks like it would allow a 37” tire, I don’t know if I would trust the factory carrier for that much weight

Putting the Mopar reinforcement bracket was very easy. I taped and shimmed the tailgate in place so it would not move. Biggest pain for me was the taking off and reinstalling of the spare tire.

Thanks for the link, but it appears that only the light is taller and not the mount itself. A little info on what I am trying to do.... I have a Sport S with the Mopar Beadlocks and 35" Toyo MT's. I really don't want to buy a full blown tire carrier/tailgate reinforcement bracket. I feel confident that if the spare is mounted correctly on the bump stops it should be ok. I thought I had read somewhere that the Rubicon carrier was a touch taller and wanted to be sure before I bought one. I also have the factory steel rear bumper also.
