Just bought a 2020 Sahara for wife! I’m wanting To put someThing around 33s on it. It has 20” wheels. Will 33 fit without a lift and if so what would be a good size to put? 305-55-20? 295-55-20? New to the Jeep world!

Welcome to the site Jamie and congratulations to you and your wife on the new rig!

33-inch tall tires will fit without a lift. The factory 20" wheels are 8-inches wide so a 305/55R-20 is a bit too wide. 295/55R-20, 275/60R-20 and 285/60R-20 are options to consider.

I have had my High Altitude for a couple month's and love the road manners of the 20's with the stock 275/55 tires. Still I am wanting to enjoy the sand dunes (Silver Lake her in Michigan) and do some trail adventures. Since I really like the stock tires and the Jeep sees much more road than off road we decided just to get new 17" wheels and match those with factory Rubicon tire size of 285/70/17 for when we do decide to spend a weekend off road. Here is a picture of the new wheels and tires. The 17x8 Arsenal wheels are close to the factory offset. Looking forward to trying them out. The neat thing about the High Altitude is the 3:73 axle ratio and the Dana 44's front and rear. Should do nicely with the off road wheel/tire set-up

33.8” is the largest you can fit before rub at full flex without disconnecting. On 17’s that would be 285/75. On 20’s you do the math lol

I'm thinking of this exact wheel and tire size myself. Would love to see pics when you are done and to know how those work with the backup cam. The people that have the -18 offset have struggled a bit. Not sure if the center section is thinner on the +30 offset.

This is what it should theoretically present itself as. Will check the backup cam situation - can do that anytime so will send a pic of that soon.

Thanks. I also have a Sahara that I don't plan on lifting. I'm going to stick with 285 max and try not to push the offset much beyond a +25. This will keep the inner edge of the tire close to the stock location. So yeah for the OP all the above in the 275-295 range seem logical if you stick with the stock 20's.

@Gunfighter , this is what I was talking about with the spare on those wheels. The camera barely sticks out so if you ever go with an aftermarket tire carrier or have to move the brake light, it can be tricky. Was not sure if this applie to the +30 offset version though. All these are -18.

We are good - 17X8 Arsenal wheel mounted to spare mount - camera in good position. :) However, factory lugs nuts are too large in diameter so proper ones need to be purchased.

Congrats on the new jeep. I would consider upgrading to 17inch wheels, since you wanna get bigger tires anyway. Rubicon takeoffs would fit just fine.
