The Sahara is a 2.0 turbo 2020 and the Rubicon is 3.6 2021, both 4 doors, automatic and 100% stock with the exception of a winch with synthetic rope on the Rubicon. The winch lowered the front of the Jeep by less than than 1/2”
The Sahara sits 1/2” taller when measured at the headlights and almost 3/4” taller when measured at the door mirrors.
I would have thought the Rubicon would sit taller considering the taller tires.

just looking at this pic, the rubi looks the advertised 1.25-1.5” taller. Would need to study up on the measurements more To understand what’s going on there.

Huh? The Sahara mirrors are at about 50” and the Rubicon’s are about 49-1/8”
I get the steel bumpers weight it down a bit but shouldn’t the taller tires make up for that and then some?

Weirdly the curb weight of a Sahara is a bit heavier at 4263lbs vs Rubicon at 4160. I would guess the steel bumpers, possibly the weight of the additional things like electronic sway bar/4:1TC (don't know the weight difference vs selectrac), etc. Cargo? Gas level? Overall the roof should be higher because of the tire size difference.

All I know is I parked my JLU Sahara next to a JKU Rubicon the other day, and realized for the first time how much bigger/taller JL is!

Park on level ground first. Put a level on the roof...measure from the ground to the level (assuming your bubble in the level is showing level)

Rubi looks taller in your pics.
I think the Rubicon’s “high fenders” make it look taller at first glance. However, if you look at the headlights and hood, the Sahara does look higher.

Was the tape measure square with the Ground? I garentee the concrete isn't perfectly level. Maybe your tape was in a dip, or on a bump. Did you have any cargo in the Rubicon. Were the gas tanks at the same level?

I just measured my 2019 Sahara, its 50" to the bottom of the side mirrors with rubi take-offs. Everything else stock.

I am going to guess weight is a factor here. Do both have the BSG, I know that is quite heavy.
