I love my JL, but some satire:

(NOT!!) I bought my JL for
  • All the accessories that come standard.
  • All factory accessories that can be easily added afterwards, like proximity locks.
  • The great gas mileage.
  • The sedan like drive
  • The sedan like quiet cabin
  • The fact that a Yugo, with nothing worth stealing, comes with a hood lock, but the JL, with plenty of expensive OEM and potential after market components (e.g. dual battery) does not.
  • The fact that MOPAR at least "instantly" offers a hook lock to purchase...that is if you define "instantly" as over a year and one half later.

Joking aside, I love my JL so much that these lacking attributes above get looked past.:)
Guy walks into auto parts store and says" May I have a wiper blade for my Yugo? " Parts guy replies " OK that's a fair trade "

My TJ (03) was great on dirt or rocks but not fun on pavement, time for an upgrade and will share time with my JLUR and FJ Cruiser-TTUE. This will help keep the mileage lower on both.

I was tired of waiting on the bronco. I probably will trade it in once the bronco comes out

Came from Toyota Tacoma...best medium size 4WD pick-up, IMO. Over 100K miles, never put a wrench to it...just gas, oil, wipers and tires. But I always wanted a Jeep. So, after both kids were out of baby seats, I cleared it with my house bully. I really just wanted a Wrangler with 4WD, manual transmission and a soft top...JK, JL, Sport, Rubicon...Sporticon?...didn't matter to me. I was unfamiliar with the models, packages, etc. Went with the Sport S b/c I don't do rock crawling and I had to have A/C. So I saved a little money, then threw on about $10K in extras, not including a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers. Love it. Thought I wanted a 2door...but it was a little tight for a family of 4. So I got the JLU Sport S 6cyl with manual transmission. LOVE IT. No previous Jeeps to compare it to. But it's great so far.

I bought my jl because, I could, because it is perfect, because it makes me happy, because it looks amazing, because I can make it a one of a kind, because I can go anywhere, because no doors, because mud, because jeep beach, because sting gray, because rubicon..the list is endless.

I bought it because the black Honda accord had me mistaken for an Uber driver, and on top of that I was bored. Wife said it was ok, I didn't hesitate!

I bought my Jeep because my other car is a Mustang and I wanted something I could drive in bad weather (i.e., snow) and keep straight on the road. The Jeep also can haul a whole lot more than my Mustang and the ability to take the top off is a plus (so I now have my sports car and a convertible).
