I'm looking for some feedback from anyone who is running the TorqLocker Aussie locker in their front sport M186. Considering buying one for my 18 JLU Sport.

Not much help for the JL, but I had one in the front of my XJ and it was great. No complaints.

I second the interest from the OP.

I imagine it behaves similar to a Detroit locker, which means when you're cruising around in 2WD it will remain disengaged up front, but as soon as you're in 4WD and apply throttle it should engage and lock your front axle. Really simple passive system rather than running hydraulic lines or adding electronics to your axle.

It will click during slow turns such as when parking. It’s normal but bothers some people.

I could not hear that clicking at all so it must be quiet. I wish they would show it performing offroad.

EDIT: I actually did hear it clicking it bit towards the end of that video on the dirt road. I believe it was in 4wd though.

Snow/ice is my biggest concern for sure.

How did it perform in different conditions as your daily driver in 2WD?

Impossible to know it’s there. Since it only works when under power, when you are in 2wd, it’s not getting power. I don’t even remember hearing it ratcheting, if it did, the noise from my super swampers drowned it out.
