Dont know how I let this slide but a couple days ago I noticed that the nuts on the back side of my license plate did not match.

I had lock nuts and acorns.

So off to the hardware store I went and got all matching acorns. Had to cut a few bolts but got it all mounted up with blue locktite.

Then I noticed my plate was off center by 1/8th”. So loosened it all up, centered it and retightened.

I think I am still off by 1/64th but Im just going to leave it.

Hopefully no one will notice.

Actually this is a great idea. I need to reorganize my car detailing products cabinet.

I'm probably OCD enough to never allow such a mismatch to occur in the first place, and likely enough to 'helpfully' point it out had someone else done the same. Not OCD enough to use Loctite on the plate bolts, but OCD enough to never spell it "locktite". Gotta pick and choose your battles I guess ;D

My OCD is conditional. It's nothing that causes me suffering, though.

On some things, like document management, or keeping spare parts cleaned, tagged and bagged, I bow to no one. On other matters, I'm happy to take a more relaxed approach.

As it concerns matching hardware, and the quality and alignment thereof, I'm right there with the OP. ;)

Its CDO. You have to alphabetize it.

If you don't know that you're just an amateur.
