I had a 2020 sport 20,000 miles no motor issues just paint bubbling all over the place got 33 mpg highway
My new 2023 Rubicon only getting 26 mpg guess bigger tires and heavier.

Picked mine up 7/9/2021 and last night turned 16,700, only issue was a bad clock spring from day one which caused the airbag light to come on other than that it’s been a blast to own.

I had an EcoDiesel up to about 65,000 miles within a 2 year period, all interstate and highway. It had more issues than I care to even talk about.
The only good part is the engine and transmission itself never had any problems.
The diesel exhaust system, DEF system, sensors, and several electronics all had to be repaired and/or replaced within that mileage.
Thank goodness I purchased the extended warranty.
These modern day diesel vehicles are NOTHING like their predecessors as far as longevity goes.
Hopefully you all won’t have the problems that I had. Good luck!
Over 30k per year, and I thought I drove a good amount.

2020 JLURD: just over 70,000 miles. Wheeled hard. Had to replace ball joints--common to all JL's. Had an issue with oil pressure twice until I learned that you absolutely have to torque the oil filter to spec or this is going to happen. Other than that, no problems. Mine does like to heat up towing a travel trailer--a little disappointed in that because the engine is a beast, but the cooling system on mine can't keep up in the mountains. I should invest in a DEF company as much of that stuff as I have sent through my exhaust pipe.

If it scares you, you're better off not pulling a trailer...any trailer. If it's setup properly, sway bar, EQ hitch and loaded correctly and most of all... use your head (slow down and don't try to run 80 mph) these rigs are amazing tow vehicles. Some folks don't have the skill to drag a rope...

They are only 4" shorter than a 1/2 ton short bed pickup (118" vs 122")...what do they pull with them...

I've got more than 40k miles total...

Hi. Perhaps you took my comment personally, and it had zero to do with you. I don't know anything about you, and you don't know anything about me. Glad you set it up, you enjoy it, and such. I simply stated that I would not. And, for what it is worth, this is my first ever four door Wrangler. Last of 5 years was a two door and that had more miles towing than most Jeeps. I will find out how my new JLU tows in a week or so, and perhaps my opinion will more closely mirror yours. Happy hump day good sir.
