I agree with little dog, RainX is the way to go. On the highway, I don't even use the wipers.
Agree. I’ve got Rain X on everything I own, including our motorhome.

When I was much younger I applied RainX on all my cars, but the issue I ran into is when I did use my wipers the RainX would build up on the edge of wiper sweep.
Does that still happen? I’m thinking of going back to it for side windows, mirrors and back up camera…

Although this thread is like suggesting the best kind of bottled water, I've never had Rain X build up on my wiper blades. You have to be sure to polish the Rain X off completely after applying it.

You can also just clean the blades with rubbing alcohol and a rag.

I just replaced the originals at 127K. Haven't needed them much since it stopped raining in CA.
Funny, mine is 3yo, garage kept and the originals still perform great. Bosch Icons are around $50 a pair. Motium's have a high rating and for under $20 a pair I'll go that route.

I just put on my second set of Rain-X Latitude and have been happy with them.

There is no "best wiper" as people live in different areas and thus, they age wipers differently. If your vehicle is parked outside and gets pounded by the sun, your wipers age. Live in an area where it rains a pretty good amount, they age differently. Live in an area where you have ice on your windscreen and you run the wipers, they age. In the end, the people I see that are retired, own something like a Buick LeSabre, it sits in a garage and they never drive the thing unless it's perfect out, will have the best wipers that get replaced every 5-7 years. The guy that drives his Toyota Corolla, it sits outside and he cranks out 80K per year where I live, needs then every 6 months.

Wipers are like batteries. Only a few companies make them and they rebrand them with fancy packaging and ad campaigns.

Well, my top of the line Rain-X wiper blades lasted just over 2 years. The Sun, Heat, and Ozone destroyed them. So, I went with cheap $7.88 wipers from O'Reilly's Auto. Lets see how long these last.
BTW, I park in the shade, almost all the time.

My 19 Rubicon has some self destructing wiper blades. Obviously I’m not gonna put stock ones back on. What brands have you used and more importantly, which ones do you like ? I tried Siliblades on my JK. The blade was good, but the hardware was crap. Just looking for some opinions and options.
My preferred brands are Rain-X and Scrubblade. Both can be found at Wally world. The scrubblades are also in every major truck stop in the country in limited sizes, but i have seen them carry as small as 14".
