I bought a JLR with the intention to off-road. Mods will be slow and it is currently stock with the exception of the winch. I plan to learn the differences between this and my old TJ which had been modified through three different revisions. I already know what I want to do with this one and pretty much when. It won't be nearly as heavily modified when I am done with it as many of the others here but it won't need to be to do what I want to do with it. I'm going to start with 35s and maybe progress to 37s when I have modded it as much as I plan for those, if I feel like it at the time.

If by off-roading you mean taking it on service or mountain/logging roads, then yes, I do :)

But that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be staggeringly fun, I had a blast of a time exploring all these amazing places with just a bit of light “off-roading”.

Nah, The tube rock rails performed perfectly, about 3 feet of rock rash on them, black paint to the rescue.

I do. As others have said, not a daily driver, but I do drive it daily if the weather is nice.

I have more desert pin striping on my 2018 JLU sport than my 2012 silverado had in 7 years ( i did overland my truck but not like the jeep at all) . But ill tell you ive smiled through all off them and then some. I bought my jeep knowing i was going to scratch it but my thought process was if i did it on a trail then atleast i was smiling and laughing at the time it happened. now ill be really upset if someone hits it with a car door or shopping cart. Anyways i do my best not to damage my 37K jeep but at 10K miles each scratch is a badge of honor. Here i am going do devils staircase on broken arrow trail. only 6K miles when i did this trip!

9800 miles on the odometer in 8 months of ownership. A good 4/5ths of those are trail, or driving-to-trail miles. Lucky to live near a bunch of good wheeling. Not as lucky as those in CO or norcal but it's pretty awesome nonetheless. The JLR is my daily / only vehicle so it does everything else too.

I’ve owned several Jeeps and I beat the the heck out of the one I had back in the mid 80’s. From jumping it in the back of our high school to driving through anything that would get mud on it. Fast forward to my 3 week old 2020 Rubi.. I have no desire to do anything “hardcore” with my new ride. Living in VT we have lots of mild logging trails, the winters are fun and we have a healthy mud season. That’s about the extent. So, why the Rubicon?? Just cuz

Us too. The price difference between the Sahara and the Rubi (that had everything the Sahara did, that we wanted at least) was negligible when you're looking at +$43K.

My wife has everything she wants (it's hers daily), yet it has my peace of mind that it'll go anywhere.

I picked up the Hulk (a JLUS) because my KL Trailhawk was totalled, and I needed wheels pretty quickly. I was pretty set on it having to be Mojito!, and the Hulk was sitting on my dealer's lot. It had been driven for about a month and a half as the owner's wife's car. They paid to break it in for me. If there had been a Rubicon JLU Mojito! in the area I'd have grabbed it, but the nearest one was across the country. Zero complaints, and only the occasional "maybe the Galdiator would have been nice..."

I take mine off road, but I do trim branches at times to keep from getting unnecessary scratches. I hunt and the main reason I have owned Jeeps since 1993 is to get down the trails.

Thank you, did you add anything else to the kit? Like adjustable front and/or rear track bar(s). Did you use Rancho's Geo correction brackets or lower front control arms?

not much offroading yet but do plan on some begineer trails this summer.
I often go thru nasty muddy, rocky, hilly construction sites so not too many dings but lots of dirt and mud to wash out of every crevice
