Subarus are very unreliable and fail easily under heavy duty use.
I hope they fixed head gasket use that plaged every 2.5l in early to late 2000s (and wheelbearings, center diff bearing, timing chain).

Subaru? Subaru?

Talk about having aspirations beyond one's station in life.

That's a different demographic, a different wheelhouse, a different set of consumer expectations. Has Jalopnik been put on retainer by the Toyota Group?

Yeah . . . I don't care what it can or can't do. I wouldn't ever drive something called "Subaru". Not to mention the granola and Birkenstocks.

Really ???

I’m going to stop dying my hair (when I get old enough to be Grey) and stop styling it, stop all hygiene rituals, and go all in on green products. No. On the road of life there are passengers and there are drivers, there are Subaru drivers and Subaru mechanics, and there are Jeep people. I’ll stick with my Jeep as will the wife. She’s not into Subaru mechanics.

There's a trail in South Kona that goes about 5 miles from the belt road at about 1500' down to the ocean. It's basically lava with the normal wear and tear that happens climbing up a fairly steep slope but nothing that needs more than a bit of ground clearance with open diff's.. Some wag posted a sign at the top: 4wd only, NO SUBURUS!!

I own a 2018 Subaru Outback Touring... Is this intended to be a joke? Different category altogether here..
My post is in jest, no idea about Jalopnik’s article (it wasn’t published Apr. 1st). Try not to take things too seriously... ;)

Granola is delicious (too many carbs though) and Birkenstock clogs are awesome (still got mine from my preppy frat days at Carolina ). That being said... the only one I’d drive is the BRZ but that’s probably my Tokyo Drift side coming out!

Agreed, No to the Birkenstocks, but...I do like a good bowl of granola. 🤫

Imagine writing car reviews for a big publisher, and the only thing you write about is how these cars can’t rock crawl for shit.
