Hydro is the only decent color they have right now. Go for that!

Please don't put yet ANOTHER White/Grey/Silver/Primer colored one on the road.
hydro is my favorite color until I saw chief blue. I know it's not available but man awesome color. saw a guy washing it the other day. awesome color.

Man that looks good. How does the paint hold up to scratches and pinstriping?
In all honesty, my Jeep hasn't been detail cleaned in the last 2 years and 50k miles. This color does a good job of hiding dirt and scratches. Other than some vandalism scratches in the middle of the hood, the only cosmetic damage I've come across is stone chips and dings on the rear fenders and a couple of the door hinges. I'm sure that if I gave it a more extensive detailing, I might find some lighter scratches, but I've yet to find any that stand out after a hard rain and casual looking.

I should have said Hydro is the only decent color currently available.

There are many of my posts on here lusting after Chief Blue. I absolutely LUV that color.

Out of the two you listed, gray is the way to go. Here in Vegas nearly E_V_E_R_Y car is white, silver, or gray. I had Rhino on my JKUR and really loved it. When I got my JLUR I went full send on Hydro Blue. I'm tired of drab commutes. Besides, kids love it. I'm doing my part to influence a new Jeeping generation! I get positive comments daily. It's pretty cool not blending in. Besides, police see a Jeep and assume it's slow so it cancels out the "sticking out" part.

Somewhere I posted the colors of vehicles that went by one day I was on the elliptical for an hour, looking out the window, bored to tears.

Literally almost every car on the road is Black, White, Grey/Silver or Dark Red.

It was fasinating, eye opening and really sad to realize this fact.

I'd go white over sting, but if I had to do it all over again I'd either go red, yellow, or Billet silver which appallingly isn't offered anymore. Orange was cool too.

I love my white rig tho! White is cool because it's a blank canvas for mud and dirt when you go wheeling.

We’ve had Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, and have Sting-Gray ordered. It was between Sting-Gray & Sarge Green. Our last JKU was between Hydro Blue & Granite Crystal. Both had body-colored hard tops & the Hydro was just too much. I don’t like the black textured top or fender flares, so Granite Crystal it was.

I’m not a white car of any type guy, personally I think it’s devoid of any personality whatsoever.

I see probably the same amount of white as I do Sting Gray here in Dallas. I like both, but was going to order white because it hides scratches well, relatively easy to match, and it is still bright enough to pop against a black top and fenders. I feel like Sting Gray doesn't give that same pop effect, but will do okay with scratches.

Now, I was also considering Sarge Green and was overwhelmingly pushed that way by friends and family, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Thought I might regret it all the way up until I saw it in person the first time.

If you're considering anything else, I say get away from grayscale. I am so glad I did!

Green was also a possible choice but I couldn’t find any at dealerships and haven’t seen many on the road. I was too unsure, but I did consider it! I honestly hate this part of any car purchase. I also like red.. I’m extremely indecisive with colors :CWL:
