White edge on black hardtop after freedom top removal

Just looked at mine (Mojito body-colored top) and that lip is white on mine too.

I wonder if it's related to manufacturing date of the hard top? Weird that some are white and some are black from factory.

When I took delivery of my JLUR Rubicon there was a 1/4 light white mark down both sides where the top meets the body and would not come off. I also have the same issue when the panels are taken off. I did not trust the dealer to try to clean it up. It has been looked at by two professional detailers with no luck. I have used dewaxer that is used when making gelcoat boat molds and it has lightened it up a little but its still there if you look for it. Unfortunately that is the least of the issues with my wandering Jeep......

Best way to kill the overpowering of the white inside of my hard top was to purchase a HotHeads headliner. Worked great on my Jk also

Why can't OP take it to dealership and have them paint it the way it is supposed to be. I'd call it a factory defect...

Does anyone have one from the factory that is not white? Every one I’ve seen is like that. It’s not visible unless the freedom panels are off and you are looking from above.
