So i have noticed that my JLRU will blow hot air (90 degree or so) even though i have the AC set to LOW.
Its coming from the vents in the footwells even if i have it selected to blow only out of the top vents.

Anyone else notice this or have the same problem

Oddly enough, this may have occurred to me over the weekend. I changed the vent flow to both top & bottom vents and, after resetting, the issue seemed to resolve itself. Was definitely odd and certainly not ideal on a 100 degree day in TX/OK.

Is HVAC set to auto? I've noticed fluctuating temperatures using auto.

I to have noticed this on my JLU Sahara but seems when I donā€™t run the temp in auto it does not do it, I also noted that when not in auto the fan does not scream when first started.

Same here. I actually heard the fan screaming for the first time today since I bought it 9 days ago. It was also my first time remotely starting the vehicle, I cannot remember if I had HVAC on auto when I parked.

Sitting at a red light? Did the ESS kick in and stop the engine? The AC compressor is part of the engine belt path, so it would stop cooling while stopped. Just a thought.

This. AC will cut out on any vehicle using some form of engine start stop .

Mine has been doing this also, not while stopped but while driving down the road. I didn't know what was going on cause I would put my hand up to the vent and its blowing cold air. Seems to do it randomly and with the ac on and not in auto.............

I too just started having this same issue. I have taken it into two different dealerships and we get the same answer... we canā€™t duplicate the problem. It gets warm for about 10 to 20 seconds and smells a bit musty. Then it returns back to normal. This is while we are driving not necessarily stopped and the ESS is disabled.

We had a little family outing several days ago and my son asked me if I had the heat on and I said no but he said he felt warm/hot air blowing from under the front passenger seat, I could not check the drivers seat as I was driving but I did feel warm air on my legs as well, the AC was not in auto and set at 70 deg so I set it to auto and it seemed to correct itself. Itā€™s not a constant issue so I am sure taking it to the dealer would be a total waste of time especially the one out here in Katy, those guys would more than likely have me leave it all day and tell me they could not duplicate the problem, trust me they did it multiple times on the vehicle I just sold back to them.

@JeepCares i am sure you are here to help but the Dealer I have out here near me is IMHO is totally worthless, they have vehicles stacked up back to back for the fast oil changes but never seem to be organized, I am hoping I can find another dealer to take my Jeep to for service as in the past when taking my 2018 Jeep Compass in for the same problem over and over they never could fix the problem so after the second problem developed with over heating and they told me the same story that all was normal even though engine coolant and transmission temps were hitting 240+ sitting in traffic and you could smell coolant so I sold the vehicle back to them and bought a Wrangler.

We just experienced the same issue on our first road trip to FL.

The entire way there we kept feeling periods of hot/humid air when we set to "Auto" on ~71 degrees.

Being bored and driving I tried to go to manual mode, kept temp on 71 and fan on "4"...but still have the same problems.

Hi Sucram,

Have you brought this to the attention of your dealer? Please send us a PM with your VIN, mileage, and additional details into your experience so that we can investigate this further.
