I thought this thread was going to be about oil catch cans. Do they really work? :giggle:

I have searched. Multiple answers . I want to do my own oil changes. I have a 2019 JLU 2.0 turbo. Which oil should I use and what oil weight? TIA!!!!
You’re on the right track by not reading the owners manual. Do not pop the hood and look at the oil cap.
Best bet is to ask strangers online what they would do. This way if you have any trouble with warranty or with the dealer you could tell them hey some anonymous people online told me to use this oil. You don't care what people at jeep recommend.
A Solid plan for a brand new vehicle with a warranty. 👍

I use Kirkland full synthetic. $13 for 5 quarts.
That right there is a "company man". 👍

For the record I really like the Kirkland Oakville Cabernet.

If I am going offroading, I prefer Pennzoil Platinum. It is woodsy, with hints of vanilla and cherry.

For around town, it's Mobil 1. Nice and dry, with a smoky finish.

But, if I had to live with one for the rest of my life, it would be Redline. It has the perfect balance of dry and sweet, with a delightful mouth feel. And, when you swallow, the bouquet that rises in the back of your throat is simply sublime!

I always use my Factory Funded, complimentary oil change / tire rotations first. That's 4 in the first 24 months. After all that, I think about what oil to use.

Wow, I didn't know there was so much contention around oil. Can someone clarify for me, is a hotdog a sandwich?
I dunno. I think you first have to know what a hot dog is made from.

It's in your owners manual. If you lost it, go to the Jeep.com website. It's free.

So you've been getting 6 quarts of who-knows-what and 4-tire rotations (without the spare) for the past 2 years?

Watch the Lite-Brite Nation video, where they tell you all the best types to use.

Make sure to watch the followup video, "WE BROKE OUR JEEP WITH THAT OIL"

I bet you don't get an invite to my many bbq and drinks parties.

When have I ever been invited to any of the parties I attend?

....and OK, you might pull off a BBQ but it ain't a party till I crash, er arrive... So stop pretending!!
