Interesting you mention that grab bar vault because the guy at Wpngear told me he is developing one with a hinge that goes up to hide and secure firearms.

I am trying to decide what rifle gun rack to put in my Jeep and I am planning on using a wpngear.com system. They have three options:

Over driver:

Over passenger:

Over cargo area:

Primary purpose is to have hunting rifles and shotguns stored securely so they are not bouncing around on rough roads or getting piled on buy gear. They seem sturdy and there is no drilling required, I like that. I am afraid over driver might be to tight as I am taller and might feel in the way.

What position do you like?

The front and the middle look the coolest. But the back is probably the most practical. Do you have a link to this product? I'm interested in checking it out. Did you end up buying it?

Too bad, can't openly carry guns in Canada, even though I have restricted firearm license. So I can only drool from the sidelines here..

Yeah. Would be mostly during hunting season so hard top will be on. But during the summer months with top off I would only use it during camping trips when shooting for fun. Unless the Russians invade, then I might get a turret mount.

In that case I'd opt for the turret mount w/ rifle holder option
