I think $4k plus another $1,500 for the auto tranny.

We'll see, but I think a loaded Rubi diesel will push close to $60k. Gulp!

I don't think they will sell many at that price.

I dunno. People don't seem to have any hesitation forking out the roughly $55k price tag for the Recon.

So true, plus the diesel won't be offered with a manual. :o(

There will be a big decision to make when the time comes. $4k for an engine option, or $4k in other functional accessories? Winch, bumpers, leather, LED package...

Diesel Sport S, or 3.6 manual Rubi? Hmmmm...
Yeah, this is the question I'm now asking myself. Although I'd go Rubi either way, I really think I want a manual transmission over a diesel engine.

My loaded ‘99 Sahara was about 24k out the door. History would say you are very wrong.
I think he was referring to the $60K price tag, is that what you are equating your '99 Sahara to?

24k in 1999 dollars is a lot less than 60k in today's dollars, or else I misunderstood your point.

I’m just saying the price of the loaded wrangler has nearly tripled in under 20 years. They will never have trouble selling them.

Surprised their is so little excitement for plug in hybrid...

The reliability and torque coupled with photovoltaic window tint and sunroof tint could make a 5000mile desert adventure with no plug in a reality.

Exactly my point. People pay whatever Jeep asks.
Until they don't.

I don't think fully loaded 60k diesels will be the sales leader. I doubt FCA is planning for that eventuality either.

I'm starting to think my new engine might be a 3.5L Eco-Boost! Raptor's beginning to tempt me as I'm likely gonna be in the mid-50's by the time this JLUR's add ons trickle down to the bottom line!

Oh I completely agree there’s a ceiling. I just don’t think they’re anywhere near it yet.

You aren't make a lot of sense to me, but we will see what pricing levels the market will accept.
The point was the price increases have far outpaced inflation, yet sales continue exponentially. Resale values are insane.

I don't think you have EVER seen a Sahara sell from a dealership at a price point of $60k, not even close, that was his point. Just because they may price it that high doesn't mean it is justified or won't price them out of their target market.
