which entry level lift kit should I go with?

Hey everyone,

So I ended up ordering a 2.5 inch Sky Jacker lift kit with black max shocks AND a Rough Country 2.5 inch lift with the N3 shocks. Long story but one said it wasn't going to arrive for a few weeks, then shipped the next day instead so i had ordered a different one. I know. both kits are more entry level focused and while I plan to go lightly off roading from time to time I will be mostly using it to commute. back and forth from school/work. Would appreciate advise from anyone with first hand knowledge and not just I heard stories. Thanks

IMHO, you're gonna be driving with this on road, I'd spend a little more $$ on something better.

I’m running the rough country 2.5” budget boost on 35’s. The only thing I did was buy new shocks as I wasn’t thrilled with shock extenders. I do rock crawling and it is my daily as well. No issues at all with the setup. If I was doing the hardcore rock crawling I would go with a proper lift kit but this works for me and a lot of JL’s are running this kit.

Thank you for the info. I got the kit with the n3 shocks. i also ordered the skyjacker kit which has a different kind of coil and a hydro shock so I have seen limited reviews on this one. I appreciate your resspone. What kind of shock did you replace yours with?

I bought the Quadratec 8.0 hydro max duty shocks. It’s a cheaper shock but I don’t do anything hardcore and can’t justify over $100 per shock.
